Join us for a talk with Dr. Betsy Kennon, author of “Scooter, Therapy Cat.” Dr. Kennon is a (sort of) retired veterinarian whose life was forever changed when a paraplegic stray cat introduced her to the world of pet therapy and volunteering. She will discuss her book, the process of writing the book, and getting the book published as a first time author. And of course, she will talk about Scooter and their pet therapy work. Furthermore, Dr. Kennon will talk about her current volunteer work as the primary veterinarian for a local no-kill animal shelter. (This is why she describes herself as “sort-of retired”.)
