Visit a Public Library this September for Library Card Sign-Up Month

Celebrate National Library Card Sign-up Month this September with the public libraries of Westmoreland County and the American Library Association! We’re inviting everyone to discover the incredible resources and opportunities available at your local library by signing up for a library card.
Whether you’re looking to enhance your skills, find valuable information, or connect with fellow avid readers, a library card unlocks a world of possibilities.
Did you know that Westmoreland County Libraries are connected by one online catalog that is available 24/7? With your library card you can borrow in-person or search and place a request for an item from home, a tablet or on your phone! You can also borrow e-books or audiobooks online 24/7 using the Libby app on your smart device.
Today’s libraries are vibrant community centers offering much more than just books. You’ll find diverse programs, job search assistance, homework help, book clubs, author talks, story times, and more. Whether you are starting your own business, adopting a new puppy, or wanting to learn a new skill, public libraries and their staff can assist you.
Did you know that Westmoreland County Libraries offer museum passes, nature backpacks as well as other “non-traditional” items. There’s truly something for everyone! Getting a library card is FREE (for county residents) and easy!
During the month of September, all first-time library card holders will be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card.
Don’t miss out! Visit a Westmoreland County Library this September to sign up for a library card and discover all that your library has to offer. (Unable to visit us in person? Sign-up for a library card on our website: www.wlnonline.org.)
